Day 1: Ha Noi- Bac Son: Distance: 180km / 5h

Start: 8h30-16h30

After a hearty breakfast we saddle up and make the break our Vietnam motorbike tour out of the city limits and the lowlands and plains of the Red River Delta.

The Northeast Vietnam motorbike tour is also with a possible riding through countryside surrounded by steep mountains after we turn off to National Road No1 for first distance to Bac Giang.

Bac Son is a small town in the province of Lang Son, lying between a scenic valley enchanted. Bac Son Valley was embraced by the green mountains and rivers stretch of soft delicate golden rice fields. Therefore, Bac Son Valley is an ideal location in the North east Vietnam motorbike tour.

Day 2: Bac Son – Quang Uyen: Distance: 140km / 5h

Our northern Vietnam motorbike tour we strike directly north, then we join the legendary ‘Highway 4′ where the Viet Minh forces carried out numerous raids over uncountable passes in this remote border region.

In the afternoon, the riding turns into quite challenging way on mountain road. The most impressive landscape of Cao Bang is the riding from  Dong Khe to Quang Uyen. The scenery of the road is unique with the steep limestone mountain and a green rows of sugar-cane fields. After seeing this scenic site, we ride down to small town Quang Uyen.

Day 3: Quang Uyen – Bao Lac: Distance: 170km / 5h

Start: 8h30-16h30

Our northern Vietnam motorbike tour will move south-west from Cao Bang and breach several passes on route in an area hosting huge mountain scenery. The Cao Bac Pass offers breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. Descending the pass we see hillsides .carpeted with apiaries, Vietnam’s most famous honey-producing areas. Today is one of our most favorite Vietnam motorbike tour club.

* Cao Bang: At 300 kilometres north of Hanoi, Cao Bang is used as a base camp for all our expeditions to destinations close to the Chinese border. The region north of Cao Bang is dominated by limestone. Hence its scenery is similar to that of Ha Long Bay or Guilin (China) and offers unprecedented driving enjoyment among some of the most spectacular surroundings in Vietnam.

Day 4: Bao Lac – Dong Van: Distance: 110km / 5h

Start: 8h30-16h30

Today we will have one of the best Vietnam motorbike tours. The ride today is mostly on small challenging mountain roads (but incredibly beautiful) on the land of colorful hill-tribes.  It is inspiring to see how they survive as they manage live in the rocks. When we reach town we will have some extra time to wonder the ancient streets lined with H’mong homes of clay bricks and tiles roofs built centuries ago.

Head up the Ma Pi Leng Pass. Here is yet another amazing place, with cloudy mountain ranges and the poetic Nho Que river winding off in the distance.
It is really difficult to find the exact words to describe Ma Pi Leng Pass, located between Dong Van and Meo Vac, near the northernmost tip of Vietnam, as a painting of astonishing beauty and magnificence that captures the eyes of all viewers and nature lovers.

Day 5: Dong Van – Ha Giang: Distance: 165km / 6h

Start: 8h30- 17h

Ride on a zig-zag track until reaching Vuong Family’s Residence, 14 kms before Dong Van.
Vuong Family was considered the King of the Hmong People in Dong Van, Ha Giang. Their residence was built in the scenic valley of Sa Phin with Chinese architecture. The whole house was built out of wood and rock only. The rocks for the buildings were imported from China. Vuong Family Residence is a masterpiece of man work in the valley of heavenly beauty of Sa Phin.

One of the most beautiful day of the North east Vietnam motorbike tour is today. Rise and shine for a few hours trek to many of the Heaven Gates such as Quan Ba, Yen Minh, Dong Van. They are so called because one gets the feeling of touching the sky – heaven’s gates. This is the best moment and place to enjoy the wonderful sightseeing of this vast limestone mountain range and perpendicular walls of rock, which brings one a feeling of adventure whilst being lost in a magic land. Here we are surrounded by many rocks of all shapes and sizes.

Day 6: Ha Giang – Vu Linh: Distance: 180km / 5h

Start: 8h30-16h30

After breakfast, we join the National road No 2 ride down to Vu Linh, where we stop for the night. Before getting to the Dzao village, we ride along the Thac Ba lake on a small road lined by palm trees and scenic mountain views, if the time permit we can have small boat trip around Thac Ba Lake –  the largest man-made lake with more than 3000 islands.

Day 7: Vu Linh – Ha Noi: Distance: 180km / 5h

There are some different ways back to Hanoi, they‘re almost busy ones, as a Vietnam Motorbike Tour Expert we promise to take you on a safe and fun road that is far away from the busy and noisy highway in addition, basing on your request, we can offer a short off-road motorbike ride through green tea plantation, it’s short but promises to be one of the best off-road motorcycle ride in Vietnam. The last 15 km is the most difficult part of the day when we get back in Hanoi to join the crazy, busy and funny local traffic back to the hotel.
